TEAM DEVELOPMENT DAYS

 

From time to time it can be hugely beneficial for an organisation to organise a Team / Organisational Development Day and spend time together exploring a variety of topics such as:

Creating an inspiring mission statement
Exploring the values of the centre and each staff member
Be Ofsted ready
Building a strong, healthy and positive team spirit
Celebrating success stories
Creating clarity for the future – what’s the vision
Managing / coping with change
Identifying strengths within the team/organisation

Creating a workplace where every staff member wants to work

Testimonial from The Link Children’s Centre who invited Solution Focused to facilitate a Team Development Day:

We are a large staff team, made up of core staff and staff commissioned from partner agencies such as health, social care etc.

The remit for the day was to support the team in identifying strategies for managing a forthcoming change to our governance and a TUPE over to a new organisational body.

The senior management team wanted the day to be both fun and functional, enabling the team to strengthen the bonds already in place and come away feeling more positive about the forthcoming challenge of a big organisational change.

This remit was outlined to Erik who planned the day around best hopes , celebrating our achievements, recognising our team strengths and action planning for the future change.

The day was well planned and Erik’s delivery was calm , relaxed, fun and engaging. The feedback from all staff has been very positive and everyone without exception has commented on how the day was fun but very productive.

Myself and the Senior Management Team would very much like to endorse Erik’s work and we would very much like to approach Erik in the future for further team days.

NORTHAMPTON LIBRARY SERVICE

Since July 2013 Northampton Library Service, who are responsible for running 11 children’s centres in Northamptonshire, asked Erik from Solution Focused to work with them for  a period of 6 months to support them in implementing the Solution Focused method of working with families throughout their organisation.
